Jordan 2019 – booked out

In the spring of 2019 we organize a trip to and through Jordan. Besides visiting a number of cultural and historical sites, the highlights of this trip are a stay of 4 days in the desert and 3 days in and around Petra. We will make beautiful walks and we can meditate in the open air and  having regular satsang.

The journey begins and ends in Amman. There are 45 places available. We have a pre-registration that runs until 1 July. If there are more registrations than places, we will make a choice after 1 July. After 1st of July you can still register, provided there is space.
The costs of this trip are as follows:
€ 890 for the trip
€ 125 for entrance fees and tips.
€ 200 for the organization and satsang to pay to Naropa Parivartan.
You buy a ticket yourself to Amman in Jordan. Visa is not required.
Included is transport by tour bus, daily vegetarian breakfast and dinner and all hotels.
We have an English and Czech speaking guide who also speaks Arabic and Hebrew.
After you have received a confirmation in July, you will receive a contract and payment details from the travel organization. We also indicate which tickets we recommend.

Now follows a description of the journey as planned.
1st Day (11th of April)
Meeting at Amman Queen Alia International Airport. Transfer to the hotel in Amman. Accommodation in the hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

2nd Day (12th of April 2019):
Breakfast. All day city tour in Amman. The Citadel above the oldest parts of the city. Possibility of having Satsang there. Visit of the famous Roman theatre.  Free time in the old part of the city with a possibility of visiting the local market (souq), return to the hotel in Amman. Dinner. Overnight.

3th Day (13th of April 2019):
Breakfast. Trip to the desert in the surroundings of Amman. Visit of three desert castles – Qasr Kharana, Qusair Amra and Qasr Azrak – possibility of having Satsang there. Transfer to the hotel in Madaba. Accommodation in the hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

4th Day (14th of April 2019):
Breakfast. Visit of Mount Nebo – the place from which Moses could see the Holy Land and where he also died. Beautiful view of the Holy Land. Transfer to the Jordan river – short walk to the baptismal site of Jesus. Swimming in the Dead Sea with a possibility of having Satsang nearby. Madaba – Church of St. George where the oldest map of the Holy Land was found. Return to the hotel in Madaba. Dinner. Overnight.

5th Day (15th of April 2019):
Breakfast. Transfer to Petra. On the way we will stop for a beautiful view of Wadi Mujib which is also called Jordan Grand Canyon. Visit of Karak – the most important Crusader’s castle in Jordan. Trek in Dana Nature Reserve in the vicinity of Dana historic village. Accommodation in the hotel in Petra. Dinner. Overnight.

6th Day (16th of April 2019):
Breakfast. We will spend the whole day in Petra, wonderful archeological remnants in the sandstone rocks from the time of Nabatians – people for whom Petra was the capital city. Possibility of having Satsang in a very beautiful and quite place inside Petra. Return to the hotel in Petra. Dinner. Overnight.

7th Day (17th of April 2019):
Breakfast. Trek to the mountains to Jabal Harun – the place of the tomb of Aron – the brother of Moses. Possibility of having Satsang on the mountain. Return to the hotel in Petra. Dinner. Overnight.

8th Day (18th of April 2019):
Breakfast. In the morning possibility to visit one more time Petra and enjoy individually the place. Visit of Small Petra – (arab. Siq al-barid) beautiful place away from crowds of tourists visiting the main areal of Petra. Transfer to Wadi Rum. Dinner. Overnight in the desert camp

9th Day (19th of April 2019):
Breakfast. Approximately 2 hours trip on jeeps to the dessert in Wadi Rum. Possibility of having Satsang in the dessert. Free time and relax. Dinner. Overnight in the desert camp.

10th and 11th Day (20th & 21th of April 2019):
Breakfast. We will spend the whole day in Wadi Rum with a possibility of having Satsang. Free time and relax. Dinner. Overnight in the desert camp.

12th Day:
Breakfast. Transfer to Amman International Airport. Departure.
